What does a Member Commit to?

  • Walk with Christ

This is a daily devotion to Christ where we read God’s Word, pray, listen to the Spirit, and sharing the Gospel.

  • Belong to His Body

This is active participation in our worship services and a commitment to a small group (Life Group or DGroup) where we live out the “one another's” of scripture.

  • Sacrificially Support

This is serving in ministries of the church as well as financially supporting the church as we seek to live out the great commission.

  • Live on Mission

This is bringing the gospel with you everywhere you go. It is a committment to make your life all about the gospel.

FAQs

  • The Bible calls every believer to belong to a church and says that every leader will be held accountable for those in their flock. Committing to membership in a church places you under the spiritual authority of that church’s leaders and allows those leaders to know who they are to shepherd.

  • No. A member is someone who formally submits to the spiritual leadership of the church they belong to. We ask everyone each year to recommit to this (but don’t worry—if you come mid-year, you don’t have to wait until January)!

  • To care for our people well, we ask each member to re-commit each year to our body. This allows us to know who we are responsible for shepherding and caring for and gives each person a chance to make that personal commitment.
