What the Intercessory Prayer Ministry is about…
Intercessory Prayer Warriors are fervently and urgently pleading with God on behalf of the needs and welfare of others taking those petitions to the Lord. We believe that prayer is the avenue by which we call on God to move and work in people’s lives.
Scripture says in Romans 8:26, “In the same way the Spirit also helps us in our weakness, because we do not know what to pray for as we should, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with inexpressible groanings. (CSB)” In Ephesians 6:18 it says, “Pray at all times in the Spirit with every prayer and request, and stay alert with all perseverance and intercession for all the saints. (CSB)” 1 Thessalonians 5:16-17 reads, “Rejoice always, pray constantly, (CSB)”
It is vital in the health of Believers and the health of a church to prayer for God to move regarding the mission and vision of the church as well as to affect change in the lives of individuals. Our church accomplishes this specifically in four ways…
FBB Prayer - Wednesday at 5:30p
A time of corporate praying of the church body for the vision and mission of the church as well as those listed on our church prayer list.
Prayer Room Ministry
Our church has set up a room specifically chosen to be used as an inspirational and confidential place for intercessors to pray for needs as presented in a book. Needs are placed in the book by the intercessors as requested by our church family and for our community.
Prayer Call Chain
A group of intercessors praying for a specific time One member calls the next member with the need and the “chain” continues until all members have been contacted.
Prayer Text Chain
A group of intercessors praying for a specific need at a specific time. Members will be sent a prayer request in a group text to pray for with the other members in the prayer group.
